Currently known problems ( Updated 17/02/2005 )

Running AVG antivirus software on your computer and after logging into Smart the system displays 'back-end server not found' error message.

A problem exists between the ports used by AVG and Smart. Click here to see the instructions on how to fix this.  Thanks to Kevin Cocoran for helping to find the problem and Dave Mitchell with writing up the instructions on how to change the settings in AVG.

No Timesheet displayed on the screen when 'print' button pressed

This occurs when a popup block is installed into your system and it needs to be told that pop up's from this site are allowed. Click here to see the instructions on how to fix this

An intermittent problem exists with the 'apply' button not committing time data.

The 'apply changes' button will gray out after being pressed which doesn't appear to commit the entered information to the back end sever, it has been reported that this occurs in the following sequence.  If you find this problem, then please note the circumstances and report it to the contact mentioned below

  1. You enter your times for the week
  2. You press the 'apply changes' button which will gray out correctly to show data has been committed to the back end server
  3. The 'lock' button is then pressed which locks the week correctly.
  4. You then move away from the entered week and back again and the newly entered times are NOT committed to the back end server

The sign-in java window is shown with red X's.

This problem was found to be an IE6 browser which didn't contain any Java Virtual Machine at all within it.  This can be solved by following the instructions found at the following link Install java plugin

Logging in again after logging out using the same browser instance.

It is recommended that if logging in again you should use a new browser instance or press the refresh page button within your browser as this will allow you start a clean fresh connection to the backend server.

Need to use the mouse to active the 'ok' button on the logging in screen

At the moment to use the keyboard to login, use the 'tab' button to move to the 'ok' button, then press the 'space' key to active the button.
